There are 41 wineries in Prince Edward County and 36 wineries stay open through the winter.

Some have modified hours that range from 11 am – 5 pm. Although some wineries like Karlos Estates still stay open until 9m.

It’s always less busy and wineries want you to come back so they often offer free tastings and other cool freebies.

We visited the Sandbanks winery in early January at 2 pm and there were no other people around at all.

“I don’t usually buy more than one or two bottles but we tasted so many great wines for free that I bought 6 bottles to take home.”

Are Prince Edward County wineries open in November?

During the fall months including October, and November, visitors can still enjoy Prince Edward County wineries as most are still open to the public.

During December, January and February, most wineries have limited staff but still stay open with modified hours.

Guests may still sample unique varietals and even select bottles to take home as souvenirs.

November also brings an opportunity to learn about the different vineyards located in Prince Edward County, as well as explore what makes each selection distinct and special.

Visitors should contact their desired winery ahead of time for the exact hours of operation in November.
