What Does A Sandbanks Wine Tour Cost?
The cost of a Sandbanks wine tour starts at around $165/person +HST and two people minimum.
The tasting fees are around $4 each but these are included in the price.
There are premade boxes of snacks available for purchase at $45 for 2 people and $65 for more than 4 people.
How Long is Prince Edward County Wine Tour?
Pick-up times anywhere within Prince Edward County can be between 11 am – 1 pm and the tour can last around 5 hrs.
In my experience, our wine tours have always been a bit longer than 5 hours as we’ve requested some added stops along the way.

You’ll notice that each of the different wineries, breweries, cideries, and distilleries, will have its own style and selections.
At each stop, you will have the opportunity to provide your preferences and tastes and many of the servers will give you recommendations.
You will have an opportunity to learn about the type of grapes used, the soil, and the process of making wine.
Wine Tours
Of course, being located in the heart of wine country, Sandbanks Vacations offers several different wine tours that are perfect for anyone from first-time tasters to experienced connoisseurs of wines (oenophiles).

- Sandbanks Winery – Has a great outside seating area. Through the summer they offer food for purchase. Also, they are one of the least expensive wineries if you plan on buying some wine after your tasting.
- Hillier Creek Estates Winery – A very friendly winery with an amazing Gammy Noir (If you like red wine). They have wood fire pizza for under $25 and offer wine pairing suggestions.
- Harwood Estates Vineyards – A family-friendly winery with food. The last time we were there we tried the chickpea fritters…interesting. They do offer a Charcuterie Plate that looked delicious.
- Huffs Estates – By far one of the more popular wineries in the county. Great wood fire pizza, reasonable prices. We visit this winery often!
With more than 41 different wineries to choose from, there’s sure to be a tour that’s right for you.

Prince Edward County is also home to several craft breweries, each with its own unique style and selection of beers.

On a Sandbanks Craft Beer Tour, you will visit 3 – 4 different breweries and taste a variety of beers.
At each brewery, you will learn about the brewing process and what goes into making each beer.
You will also have the chance to purchase bottles of your favorite beers to take home with you.

Craft Cidery Tours
In addition to wineries and breweries, Prince Edward County is also home to several great cideries.

On a Sandbanks Cidery Tour, you will visit 3 – 4 different cideries and taste a variety of ciders.
I’ve been to every cidery here in the county and some have food or food trucks (wraps, wood-fire pizza, burgers).
At each cidery, will walk you through the cider-making process and the types of apples.
Spirits Tours
Lastly, Prince Edward County is also home to a couple of distilleries. You can request a stop by a distillery and taste a variety of spirits.
These distilleries are not a preset part of the tour but they can be. When you call to book, ask to have a distillery added to the scheduled stops.
