There are lots of locally grown and seasonal foods to try from farm stands, vineyards, craft breweries, and restaurants.

I have favorites and the price is not always a factor but if you want great food and reasonable prices try stopping by The Vic Cafe.

Us locals know it’s tough to find a great burger for under $10 these days!

The Arts Trail

There are a growing number of modern-day galleries to see. Following the art trail will lead you into studios in rustic barns or more modern galleries. Check it out HERE.

You could spend a day just touring the many showcases here.

The Arts Trail gives art fans, purchasers as well as collectors a chance to view one-of-a-kind sculptures, paintings, glass, porcelains, photography and so far more.

Take note of over 100 barns displaying painted quilts all around the county! Cool to see.

Lake on the Mountain

Located HERE. I grew up in the area and it really is an all-natural marvel of Prince Edward County drawing many visitors here every year.

You can sightsee at the lake or overlook Glenora too!

The fact is on a clear day you can see the towers of the power generation station in Bath or watch the huge cement boat pass through.

Learn more about the bird observatory here.

Bird House City

Located in the Macaulay Mountain Conservation Area just outside of Picton, bird house city has a trail where you walk and observe active birdhouses of many types.

There are trails through this area that will take you up Macaulay Mountain to lookouts there are very cool.

The Regent Theatre

Located at 224 Picton Main St, Picton, ON.

Still going based on donations the nonprofit Regent Theatre still offers a great selection of Live Music events or newly released box office hits.

The inside has had some upgrades but still, holds much of its old character. Once a warehouse converted into a theatre in 1918 this building has character worth seeing.

I see the first Star Wars here back in the ’70s.

Farm Stands in Prince Edward County

It might sound weird but the farm stands around the county are worth visiting.

Located at 343 County Road 22, Picton, ON.

A once-operating bombing school in 1941 was turned into an Army Camp in 1960. Many structures are still standing and are cool to see.
